New Worshipping Communities are designed to reach people and places yet to be reached with the great news of the gospel. SEEDBED creates space for a small team of lay pioneers from your parish to explore that possibility together — being encouraged, developed, released and supported as they discern what God might be inviting them to do.

Across three Saturday morning sessions over a four-month period, SEEDBED will help you explore the vision, prepare the ground, and turn your ideas into practical next steps.

🌱 PREPARE

Explore what a New Worshipping Community is, how one forms, and where you might launch one. Begin to imagine what reaching new people and places could look like in your parish.

🌱 CULTIVATE

Start preparing the ground through prayer and practice. As you listen, experiment and discern, you’ll begin to discover where God might be leading and what the next steps could be.

🌱 PLANT

Pull together practical plans and timelines for your missional adventure. Turn your discernment into action as you develop a clear and realistic pathway for launching your new worshipping community.

These are early steps in a journey of exploration and discernment. SEEDBED is an opportunity to ask questions, try things out, listen and learn — without committing to launch a New Worshipping Community. There is space to discover what might be possible before deciding whether, when or how to take the next step.

SEEDBED is a place for ideas, people and possibilities to take root — creating space to listen to God, learn together, experiment, and discover what might grow when we make room for something new.

Come with a question. Bring a small team. Plant a seed. See what grows.
