This video series is for anyone who is interested in exploring the Bible more and the Old Testament ‘Minor Prophets’ in particular.
In September 2020, Southwell Minster began a new collaboration with our diocesan School of Discipleship: Hopeful Words, Hurting World. The series of seminars are now available to download and watch by yourself or for use as a small group resource.
Led by the Revd James Halstead, based around the Minor Prophets and exploring some of the big themes and challenges arising from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, this series provides an opportunity to dig into Scripture and hear what God might be saying to his people today. Each session includes video input from James, along with a series of questions to help you pause, reflect and discuss the material with others.
The series covers: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Jonah, Micah, Obadiah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah & Malachi.

- “We felt we had learned a great deal – it was a very enjoyable evening!”
- “I felt that you really opened up the books for us in a fresh and exciting way. The questions for the group discussion really made us all think and I am still pondering over what I have learnt.”
