A Lent course produced by the Church Urban Fund. This Lent we encourage you to reflect on the call to love God and your neighbour.
The Growing Good Toolkit is a course that equips your church to grow new connections and make a difference where you live. It is available to read, download and share with your church this Lent. You can use it online or at church, in home groups or bible study groups.
The Growing Good course is based on a three-year research project from Theos and Church Urban Fund that explored the relationship between social action, growth, and discipleship in churches across England. This research identified 5 common themes shared by churches that are growing in faithfulness and fruitfulness: presence, perseverance, hospitality, adaptability, participation.
This course offers six interactive sessions, helping you to journey through these themes with reflection discussion, film, prayer, and take-away actions. Each session follows the same format and should take about 75 minutes to work through.
For over 30 years, the Church Urban Fund has partnered with churches, clergy, volunteers and local leaders who are working tirelessly to create a world where all people can flourish. During the pandemic, we know that churches have increased their provision of practical, emotional, financial and digital support. WE also know that it’s getting more difficult to meet rising need.
