St Mellitus College

St Mellitus is an anglican theological college which has experienced remarkable life and growth over the last 10 years. It is widely thought to be one of the most innovative and exciting places to study theology, ministry and mission in the UK. St Mellitus currently has over 700 students studying across five teaching centres, including more than 300 ordinands in training, over 200 undergraduates and postgraduates students following accredited programmes, and a number of people engaging with introductory and non-accredited courses in theology.

St Mellitus has a teaching centre right here in the diocese, meeting at Trinity Church Nottingham. St Mellitus College, East Midlands seeks to play its part in equipping and releasing the next generation of Christian leaders that God is raising up to serve his church in the East Midlands region. The newest centre, it opened in 2019 after being invited to pioneer full-time context-based ordination training in the region by the dioceses of Southwell & Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, providing theological study which is both formed by and responds to the particular local ministry contexts. They host both full-time and part-time students, studying towards ordination or a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate theology, ministry and mission programmes, including both the Caleb Stream and Peter Stream.
