Life as Gift – Revd Dr David Emerton Director, St Mellitus East Midlands

David is Director of St Mellitus College, East Midlands. He is married to Naomi and they have two young daughters, Lois and Sophie. Aside from his girls, David is passionate about Liverpool FC, crime novels, endeavouring to keep fit, and the way in which theology can serve the church to be what the church is called to be.

Leading in Generosity – Revd Esther Prior Vicar, St John’s Egham

Disciple. Wife. Mother. Vicar or St John’s Egham and is Vice-Chair of CPAS Patronage Trustees. She is married to Matt and they have a son and daughter. Esther came to England from Zimbabwe for Theological Education in 1999. After two Curacies, Esther has served as a School Chaplain, a Young Offenders Prison Chaplain and a Team Vicar in Farnborough. Esther is passionate about the local church proclaiming and demonstrating the good news of Christ. She loves cooking, reading, writing, Body Combat, travel and time with family.

The Joy of Giving – Jonathan de Bernhardt Wood National Giving Advisor, Church of England

Jonathan has been the National Advisor for Giving and Income Generation for the Church of England since January 2019. His team are responsible for supporting churches and dioceses in encouraging giving and generosity. He has working in fundraising and managerial roles within the charity sector for over 30 years, and most recently was Generous Giving Adviser for the Diocese of Oxford. He was awarded an MA in Applied Theology from the University of Exeter and was appointed a Lay Canon of St Edmundsbury Cathedral in 2021. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and lives in Suffolk.
